375.167 NONPROFIT LEGAL ASSISTANCE CORPORATIONS.
Subdivision 1. Appropriations. Notwithstanding any contrary law, a county board may
appropriate from the general revenue fund to any nonprofit corporation a sum not to exceed
0.00604 percent of taxable market value to provide legal assistance to persons who are unable to
afford private legal counsel.
Subd. 2. Contiguous counties may combine appropriations. Any two or more contiguous
counties may by concurrent resolution of their county boards combine their appropriations to a
single nonprofit corporation to serve the purpose of subdivision 1 in their counties.
