     144.128 Treatment for positive diagnosis, registry of 
  cases. 

    The commissioner shall: 

    (1) make arrangements for the necessary treatment of 
 diagnosed cases of hemoglobinopathy, phenylketonuria, and other 
 inborn errors of metabolism when treatment is indicated and the 
 family is uninsured and, because of a lack of available income, 
 is unable to pay the cost of the treatment; 

    (2) maintain a registry of cases of hemoglobinopathy, 
 phenylketonuria, and other inborn errors of metabolism for the 
 purpose of follow-up services; and 

    (3) adopt rules to carry out section 144.126 and this 
 section.
