420.15 ELECTIONS.
When such petition is filed the governing body of such city shall cause the question to be
submitted to the voters at the first following general municipal election.
Such commission shall be deemed to be abolished if two-thirds of the votes cast in the
election be in favor of such abolishment; and the status of the fire department and all of the
employees thereof shall thereafter be deemed to be the same as if the commission had not been
created.
