375.40 COUNTY BOARD MAY LICENSE EXHIBITIONS AND SHOWS.
A county board may license and regulate itinerant shows, carnivals, circuses, endurance
contests, and exhibitions of any nature whatsoever. Sections 375.40 to 375.42 do not apply to
shows, carnivals, circuses, contests, and exhibitions held within the incorporated limits of a city.
The fee for a license shall be fixed by the county board in the amount it deems advisable.
The board may require, as a condition for granting the license, the posting of a penal bond in
the amount it shall determine.
Application for a license shall be made on the form the county board determines. Upon
approval of an application and the payment of the license fee and the posting of the required
bond, the county auditor shall issue the license.
