148E.255 TYPES OF ACTIONS.
    Subdivision 1. Actions. The board may take disciplinary action according to section
148E.260, adversarial but nondisciplinary action according to section 148E.265, or voluntary
action according to section 148E.270. Any action taken under sections 148E.260 to 148E.270
is public data.
    Subd. 2. Disciplinary action. For purposes of section 148E.260, "disciplinary action" means
an action taken by the board against an applicant or licensee that addresses a complaint alleging a
violation of a statute or rule the board is empowered to enforce.
    Subd. 3. Adversarial but nondisciplinary action. For purposes of section 148E.265,
"adversarial but nondisciplinary action" means a nondisciplinary action taken by the board that
addresses a complaint alleging a violation of a statute or rule the board is empowered to enforce.
    Subd. 4. Voluntary action. For purposes of section 148E.270, "voluntary action" means a
nondisciplinary action agreed to by the board or a designated board member and an applicant or
licensee that, through educational or other corrective means, addresses a complaint alleging a
violation of a statute or rule that the board is empowered to enforce.
