(1) a foreign support order;
(2) a foreign tribunal; or
(3) an obligee, obligor, or child residing in a foreign country.
(c) Sections 518C.701 to 518C.713 apply only to a support proceeding under the convention. In such a proceeding, if a provision of sections 518C.701 to 518C.713 is inconsistent with sections 518C.101 to 518C.616, sections 518C.701 to 518C.713 control.
NOTE: This section, as added by Laws 2014, chapter 189, section 4, is effective on the date that the United States deposits the instrument of ratification for the Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance with the Hague Conference on Private International Law.
