299F.858 SALE OUTSIDE OF MINNESOTA.
    Sections 299F.850 to 299F.859 do not prohibit any person or entity from manufacturing or
selling cigarettes that do not meet the requirements of section 299F.851 if the cigarettes are or
will be stamped for sale in another state or are packaged for sale outside the United States and
that person or entity has taken reasonable steps to ensure that such cigarettes will not be sold or
offered for sale to persons located in Minnesota.

NOTE:This section is repealed if a federal reduced cigarette ignition propensity standard
that preempts this section is adopted and becomes effective. Laws 2007, chapter 54, article 7,
section 22.
