     356.245 Local elected officials. 

    An elected official who is covered by section 353.01, 
 subdivision 2a, is eligible to participate in the state of 
 Minnesota deferred compensation plan under section 356.24.  The 
 applicable local governmental unit may make the matching 
 employer contributions authorized by that section on the part of 
 a participating elected official.
