504A.171 Rent liability; uninhabitable buildings.
A renter of a building that is destroyed or becomes uninhabitable or unfit for occupancy through no fault of the renter, is not required to pay rent or a penalty to the landlord unless a written agreement expressly provides otherwise, and the renter may vacate the property.
