7410.5440 GENERAL WAIVER FOR LICENSE WITH MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT.

Subpart 1.

Holder of Minnesota motorcycle endorsement.

If an applicant for a Minnesota driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement has a Minnesota driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement that has:

A.

expired less than one year, then the applicant is not required to pass the class D driver's license knowledge test, class D driver's license road test, motorcycle knowledge test, or motorcycle skills test; or

B.

expired more than one year but less than five years, then the applicant is not required to pass the class D driver's license road test or motorcycle skills test.

Subp. 2.

Holder of out-of-state motorcycle endorsement.

If an applicant for a Minnesota driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement has a driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement from another state that is valid or not expired more than one year, then the applicant is not required to pass the Minnesota class D driver's license road test or motorcycle endorsement skills test.
