4732.0430 DOSE LIMITS FOR INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC.

A.

A registrant shall not use radiation-producing equipment in a manner that could result in individual members of the public receiving an annual effective dose equivalent in excess of 0.1 rem (1.0 mSv).

B.

The registrant must conduct operations so that the dose in any unrestricted area does not exceed 0.002 rem (0.02 mSv) in any one hour.

C.

The registrant must show compliance with the annual public dose limit in this part, by demonstrating by measurement or calculation that the total effective dose equivalent to the individual member of the public likely to receive the highest dose from the registered operation does not exceed the annual dose limit.
