9215.0500 PURPOSE.

The purpose of this chapter is to:

A.

establish requirements for the preparation and implementation of solid waste management plans and plan amendments by counties and solid waste management districts and multicounty areas outside of the seven-county metropolitan area. The plans and plan amendments must be approved by the Pollution Control Agency;

B.

encourage regional planning; and

C.

reflect demographic, geographic, regional, and solid waste system differences that exist among the counties.
