5510.5210 DEFINITIONS.

Subpart 1.

Scope.

For purposes of parts 5510.5200 to 5510.5295, the terms defined in this part have the meanings given them.

Subp. 2.

Arbitrator.

"Arbitrator" means an arbitrator from the arbitration roster under:

A.

part 5530.0700;

B.

Minnesota Statutes, section 179A.04, subdivision 3, paragraph (b); and

C.

Minnesota Statutes, section 626.892, subdivision 4.

Subp. 3.

Award.

"Award" means an opinion or decision, including any damages, relief, and remedies, rendered by an arbitrator in a dispute among two or more parties.

Subp. 4.

Commissioner.

"Commissioner" means the commissioner of the Bureau of Mediation Services.

Subp. 5.

Party.

"Party" means a person subject to arbitration or other proceedings under bureau rules as provided under Minnesota Statutes.

Subp. 6.

Serve.

"Serve" has the meaning given in part 5510.0310, subpart 19, and part 5510.0320 applies.
