5225.1140 ATTENDANCE OF HOBBY BOILERS.

Subp. 3.

Hobby boiler.

A hobby boiler may not be left unattended when in operation and members of the public are present. For purposes of this part, a traction engine may be considered as not being in operation when all of the following conditions exist:

A.

the water level is at least one-third of the water gage glass;

B.

the header or dome valve is in a closed position;

C.

the draft doors are closed;

D.

the fire is banked or extinguished; and

E.

the boiler pressure is at least 20 pounds per square inch below the safety valve relieving pressure.
