Watercraft used primarily for enforcement shall be marked to be visible from both sides of the watercraft. The markings shall at a minimum identify the operating agency and be of a contrasting color to the background. Lettering used for identification, other than that used in an agency symbol, shall be of block character and not less than three inches in height.
Watercraft that are used primarily for enforcement of game and fish laws, when coincidentally enforcing this section, shall either be marked through the flying of a pennant of a size and marking prescribed by the commissioner or through marking of the watercraft itself under this section.
The restrictions on hours and location of operation in this chapter do not apply to emergency, safety, and enforcement watercraft.
