518C.318 ASSISTANCE WITH DISCOVERY.

A tribunal of this state may:

(1) request a tribunal of another state to assist in obtaining discovery; and

(2) upon request, compel a person over whom it has jurisdiction to respond to a discovery order issued by a tribunal of another state.

NOTE: This section was amended by Laws 2014, chapter 189, section 30, and becomes effective on the date that the United States deposits the instrument of ratification for the Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance with the Hague Conference on Private International Law. Laws 2014, chapter 189, section 73. When effective the section will read:

"518C.318 ASSISTANCE WITH DISCOVERY.

A tribunal of this state may:

(1) request a tribunal outside this state to assist in obtaining discovery; and

(2) upon request, compel a person over which it has jurisdiction to respond to a discovery order issued by a tribunal outside this state."
