246C.191 REGIONAL CENTER AND COMMUNITY-BASED FACILITY EMPLOYEES.

In accordance with section 43A.21, the executive board shall develop procedures to assure that:

(1) there are workers employed at state regional centers and nursing homes who are skilled in the treatment of persons with severe and profound developmental disabilities, behavioral problems, and medical needs to facilitate adjustment to community living;

(2) suitable training programs exist for regional treatment center and state-operated, community-based residential facility staff; and

(3) state employees under the jurisdiction of the executive board who are included in a position reduction plan have the option of transferring to a community-based program; to a similar, comparable classification in another regional center setting; or to a position in another state agency.
