     84.0273 Establishment of boundary lines relating to 
  certain state landholdings. 

    In order to resolve boundary line issues affecting the 
 ownership interests of the state and adjacent landowners, the 
 commissioner of natural resources may, in the name of the state 
 upon terms the commissioner deems appropriate, convey, by a 
 boundary line agreement, quitclaim deed, or management agreement 
 in such form as the attorney general approves, such rights, 
 titles, and interests of the state in state lands for such 
 rights, titles and interests in adjacent lands as are necessary 
 for the purpose of establishing boundaries.  A notice of the 
 proposed conveyance and a brief statement of the reason therefor 
 shall be published once in the State Register by the 
 commissioner between 15 and 30 days prior to conveyance.  The 
 provisions of this section are not intended to replace or 
 supersede laws relating to land exchange or disposal of surplus 
 state property.
