609B.237 IMPOUNDING REGISTRATION PLATES.
Subdivision 1.
Scope. The collateral sanctions discussed in this section are codified in
section
168.041.
Subd. 2.
Driving after suspension, revocation, or cancellation. A person convicted of
driving a self-propelled motor vehicle after suspension, revocation, or cancellation of the person's
driver's license shall have the registration plates impounded under section
168.041, subdivision 1.
Subd. 3.
Moving violations; previous convictions. If a person is convicted of a moving
violation and has a previous conviction, the court may order the commissioner of public safety to
suspend the person's driver's license for a period not exceeding one year under section
168.041,
subdivision 2
