600.18 FEDERAL CENSUS; POPULATION.
The governor shall obtain from the director of the federal census such certified copies thereof
as will show the population of the several political divisions of this state, which certified copies
shall be filed in the Office of the Secretary of State, and thereafter the several political divisions
of the state for all purposes, unless otherwise provided, shall be deemed to have the population
thereby disclosed. Copies thereof, duly certified to by the secretary of state, shall be prima facie
evidence of the facts therein disclosed in all the courts of this state.
