     473.801 Definitions. 

    Subdivision 1.    Terms.  For the purposes of sections 
 473.801 to 473.849, the terms defined in this section have the 
 meanings given them. 

    Subd. 2.    Local government unit.  "Local government 
 unit" means any municipal corporation or governmental 
 subdivision other than a metropolitan county located in whole or 
 part in the metropolitan area, authorized by law to provide for 
 the processing of solid waste. 

    Subd. 3.    Agency.  "Agency" means the Minnesota 
 pollution control agency. 

    Subd. 4.    Application.  Unless otherwise provided the 
 definitions of terms in section 115A.03 shall apply to sections 
 473.801 to 473.845. 

    Subd. 5.    Director.  "Director" means the director of 
 the office of environmental assistance. 

    Subd. 6.    Office.  "Office" means the office of 
 environmental assistance.
