     469.308 Administration. 

    Subdivision 1.    Technical assistance.  The 
 commissioner shall provide technical assistance to the city 
 seeking an enterprise zone designation. 

    Subd. 2. Repealed, 1997 c 187 art 3 s 34 

    Subd. 3.    Reporting.  The commissioner shall require 
 cities receiving enterprise zone designations to report to the 
 state regarding the economic activity that has occurred in the 
 zone following the designation. 

    Subd. 4.    Report to the legislature.  The commissioner 
 of economic security, in consultation with the commissioner of 
 revenue and any cities receiving the designation, shall evaluate 
 the enterprise zone program and assess options for expansion of 
 the enterprise zone program to businesses throughout the 
 metropolitan area that hire zone residents.  The commissioner of 
 economic security shall submit its findings in a report to the 
 1996 session of the legislature.
