381.13 TOWNSHIP LANDMARKS.
In every county, the county board shall cause to be placed by a licensed surveyor at the
northeast corner of each congressional township a durable magnetic monument having a head not
less than 3-1/2 inches in diameter and a length of 20 inches. The monument must be embedded its
full length in the ground. The county board shall pay from the treasury the expense of installing
the monuments, and the place where the monument is located is prima facie evidence of the
northeast corner of such township.
