     353.026 Coverage for certain municipal and school 
  district employees. 

    Any person who was employed by the city of Minneapolis, 
 Special School District No. 1, or public corporation as defined 
 in section 422A.01, subdivision 9, on or after July 1, 1978, and 
 before July 1, 1979, and who was excluded from retirement 
 coverage by the coordinated program of the Minneapolis municipal 
 employees retirement fund under section 422A.09, subdivision 3, 
 is entitled to retirement coverage by the general employees 
 retirement plan of the Public Employees Retirement Association 
 unless specifically excluded under section 353.01, subdivision 
 2b, from and after May 19, 1981.
