     177.26 Division of labor standards. 

    Subdivision 1.    Creation.  The Division of Labor 
 Standards and Apprenticeship in the Department of Labor and 
 Industry is supervised and controlled by the commissioner of 
 labor and industry.  

    Subd. 2.    Powers and duties.  The Division of Labor 
 Standards and Apprenticeship shall administer this chapter and 
 chapters 178, 181, 181A, and 184.  

    Subd. 3.    Employees; transfer from Division of Women and 
 Children.  All persons employed by the department in the 
 Division of Women and Children are transferred to the Division 
 of Labor Standards.  A transferred person does not lose rights 
 acquired by reason of employment at the time of transfer.
