174.90 COMMUTER RAIL OPERATION.
The commissioner may contract for operation of commuter rail facilities with the
Metropolitan Council or other public or private entities and shall commence revenue service after
an appropriate period of start-up to ensure satisfactory performance. The commissioner shall
coordinate with transit providers to ensure integration of the commuter rail system with bus
and light rail transit service to avoid duplication of service and to ensure the greatest access to
commuter rail lines in suburban and urban areas.
