     169.49 Headlamps.  

    (a) Every motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle, shall be 
 equipped with at least two headlamps, with at least one on each 
 side of the front of the motor vehicle, which headlamps shall 
 comply with the requirements and limitations set forth in 
 sections 169.47 to 169.79.  

    (b) Every motorcycle shall be equipped with at least one 
 and not more than two headlamps, which shall comply with the 
 requirements and limitations of sections 169.47 to 169.79.
