     144.382 Definitions. 

    Subdivision 1.    Scope.  For the purposes of sections 
 144.381 to 144.387, the following terms have the meanings given. 

    Subd. 2.    Commissioner.  "Commissioner" means the 
 state commissioner of health. 

    Subd. 3.    Federal regulations.  "Federal regulations" 
 means rules promulgated by the federal environmental protection 
 agency, or its successor agencies. 

    Subd. 4.    Public water supply.  "Public water supply" 
 has the meaning given to "public water system" in the federal 
 Safe Drinking Water Act, United States Code, title 42, section 
 300f, clause (4). 

    Subd. 5.    Supplier.  "Supplier" means a person who 
 owns, manages or operates a public water supply.
