     124D.73 Definitions. 

    Subdivision 1.    Scope.  For the purposes of sections 
 124D.71 to 124D.82, the terms defined in this section have the 
 meanings given them. 

    Subd. 2.    American Indian child.  "American Indian 
 child" means any child, living on or off a reservation, who is 
 enrolled or eligible for enrollment in a federally recognized 
 tribe. 

    Subd. 3.    Advisory task force.  "Advisory task force" 
 means the state advisory task force on American Indian education 
 programs. 

    Subd. 4.    Participating school; American Indian school. 
  "Participating school" and "American Indian school" mean a 
 school that: 

    (1) is not operated by a school district; and 

    (2) is eligible for a grant under Title IV of the Indian 
 Education Act for the education of American Indian children.
