11A.02 DEFINITIONS.
Subdivision 1. Applicability. For the purposes of sections 11A.01 to 11A.25, the terms
defined in this section shall have the meanings given them.
Subd. 2. State board. "State board" means the Minnesota State Board of Investment
created by article XI, section 8 of the Constitution of the state of Minnesota for the purpose of
administering and directing the investment of all state funds and pension funds.
Subd. 3. Council. "Council" means the Investment Advisory Council created by section
11A.08.
Subd. 4. Fund. "Fund" means any of the individual funds, including but not limited to the
permanent school fund, general fund of the state, retirement funds and other funds and accounts
for which the state board has responsibilities.
Subd. 5. Director. "Director" means the executive director of the state board.
Subd. 6. Management. "Management" means the performance or delegation of general
management duties relating to any fund established pursuant to this chapter.
