116C.775 SHIPMENT PRIORITIES; PRAIRIE ISLAND.
If a storage or disposal site becomes available outside of the state to accept high-level nuclear
waste stored at Prairie Island, the waste contained in dry casks shall be shipped to that site before
the shipment of any waste from the spent nuclear fuel storage pool. Once waste is shipped that
was contained in a cask, the cask must be decommissioned and not used for further storage.
