609.776 INTERFERENCE WITH EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS.
Whoever, without prior authorization, broadcasts or transmits on, interferes with, blocks, or
cross-patches another frequency onto a law enforcement, firefighting, emergency medical services,
emergency radio frequency or channel, any assigned or alternate emergency frequency or channel,
or an official cellular telephone communication of a law enforcement agency, a fire department, or
emergency medical services provider, knowing, or having reason to know that the act creates a risk
of obstructing, preventing, or misdirecting official law enforcement, firefighting, or emergency
medical services communications, is guilty of a felony and may be sentenced to imprisonment for
not more than three years or to payment of a fine of not more than $10,000, or both.
