241.278 AGREEMENTS FOR WORK FORCE OF STATE OR COUNTY JAIL INMATES.
The commissioner of corrections, in the interest of inmate rehabilitation, may enter into
interagency agreements with state, county, or municipal agencies, or contract with nonprofit
agencies to fund or partially fund the cost of programs that use state or county jail inmates as
a work force. The commissioner is authorized to receive funds via these agreements and these
funds are appropriated to the commissioner for community service programming.
