148B.55 LICENSES; TRANSITION PERIOD.
For two years beginning July 1, 2003, the board shall issue a license without examination
to an applicant if the board determines that the applicant otherwise satisfies the requirements in
section 148B.53, subdivision 1, if the applicant is a licensed psychological practitioner, a licensed
marriage and family therapist, or a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, or is in the process
of being so licensed. An applicant licensed under this section must also agree to conduct all
professional activities as a licensed professional counselor in accordance with standards for
professional conduct established by the board by rule. This section expires July 1, 2005.
