     326.991 Exception. 

    Subdivision 1.    Minneapolis.  The license requirement under 
 section 
 326.84 does not apply to a residential building contractor, 
 residential remodeler, or specialty contractor licensed by the 
 city of Minneapolis and who is performing work within the legal 
 boundaries of that municipality.  

    This subdivision expires March 31, 2000. 

    Subd. 2.    Local administration.  The commissioner may contract 
 with the city of 
 Minneapolis to administer this licensing program.
