     16E.02 Office of technology structure and personnel. 

    Subdivision 1.    Office management and structure.  The 
 commissioner of administration is the state's chief information 
 officer and technology advisor to the governor.  The staff of 
 the office must include individuals knowledgeable in information 
 and communications technology.  

    Subd. 2.    Intergovernmental participation.  The 
 commissioner of administration or the commissioner's designee 
 shall serve as a member of the Minnesota education 
 telecommunications council, the geographic information systems 
 council, the library planning task force, or their respective 
 successor organizations, and as a member of Minnesota 
 Technology, Inc. and the Minnesota health data institute as a 
 nonvoting member.
