     136F.59 Technical equipment. 

    Subdivision 1. Repealed, 1996 c 398 s 66 

    Subd. 2.    Computer sales and support.  The board may 
 sell computers and related products to state college and 
 university staff and students to advance their instructional and 
 research abilities.  The board shall contract with a private 
 vendor for service, maintenance, and support for computers and 
 related products sold by the board. 

    Subd. 3.    Office of technology.  The system office and 
 the campuses shall cooperate with the office of technology in 
 its responsibility to coordinate information and communications 
 technology development throughout the state.  The system and 
 campuses shall consult with the office of technology throughout 
 any efforts to plan or implement information and communication 
 systems to ensure that the systems are effective, efficient, 
 and, where appropriate, compatible with other state systems.
