     424.02 Organization; operation. 

    Each relief association shall be organized, operated, and 
 maintained in accordance with its own articles of incorporation 
 and bylaws, by firefighters, as hereinafter defined, who are 
 members of the fire departments.  Each association shall have 
 power to regulate its own management and its own affairs, and 
 all additional corporated powers which may be necessary or 
 useful; subject to the applicable provisions of this chapter and 
 chapter 424A, and other laws of this state pertaining to 
 corporations, not inconsistent herewith.
