     423.386 Service in armed forces to be included.  

    In determining the years of service of any such police 
 officer, no deduction shall be made for the period any such 
 police officer shall have been a member of the armed forces of 
 the United States subsequent to entry into the service of the 
 police department, who left the service of such police 
 department to enter the armed forces of the United States, 
 providing such police officer is honorably discharged from the 
 armed forces of the United States, and resumes duties as such 
 within 60 days after such discharge from the armed services of 
 the United States, or within such further period as may be 
 granted by the board of directors of such association within 
 which to resume said duties.
