     355.72 Separate system for hospital employees. 

    In accordance with section 218(d) (6) (A) or 218(d) (6) (B) 
 of the Social Security Act, the hospital employees of each 
 public hospital which was in existence prior to July 1, 1971 are 
 deemed to be covered by a separate retirement system for the 
 employees of that hospital, notwithstanding the provisions of 
 section 355.42, clause (a).
