     383B.35 Payrolls approved by director. 

    No appointing authority of the county of Hennepin shall 
 authorize payment of compensation for service to any person 
 holding a position in the classified service as established 
 under sections 383B.26 to 383B.42 or a position in the 
 unclassified service identified in section 383B.32, subdivision 
 3, unless the payroll for such compensation bears the 
 certification of the director that the persons named therein 
 have been appointed in accordance with the provisions of 
 sections 383B.26 to 383B.42.  The director shall not certify any 
 payroll unless such persons were appointed and employed in 
 accordance with sections 383B.26 to 383B.42.
