375.36 County board to establish soldiers' rest.
A county board may purchase a plot of ground in any duly organized cemetery lying, in whole or part, in the county, or in a contiguous county, to be designated and used exclusively as a soldiers' rest, and appropriate for its cost, embellishment, and upkeep, and for the opening and the closing of graves in it, not more than $3,500 in any one year.
The board may use the portion of the appropriation as it deems necessary for compensation and expenses of an agent, who shall be a veteran, to care for the burial ground and to issue permits for burial in it.
