9200.4300 APPOINTMENT OF TEMPORARY BOARD MEMBERS.

Subpart 1.

Notification to political subdivision.

Within ten days after a petition has been accepted for review, the chair shall notify the political subdivisions which have the responsibility to appoint temporary board members that a petition affecting their areas has been accepted.

Subp. 2.

Appointment by political subdivision.

The political subdivisions shall appoint temporary board members in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 115A.34 within 45 days after the date the petition was accepted by the board.

Subp. 3.

Failure to appoint members.

If a political subdivision fails to appoint the required temporary board members within 45 days after the date the petition was accepted by the board, the chair shall notify the governor's office within five working days of the failure to appoint. The appointment of the temporary board members shall then be made by the governor in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, section 115A.34.
