8200.3110 NOTICE OF LATE REGISTRATION.

A.

If an applicant submits a voter registration application that is not deficient but that is filed during the period when preelection registration is not permitted by Minnesota Statutes, section 201.061, subdivision 1, the auditor shall send a notice of late registration to the person seeking to register. The notice of late registration must require that it be returned if not deliverable and must explain that if the applicant chooses not to register and vote at the upcoming election, the applicant's registration will become effective on the day after the election.

B.

The secretary of state shall provide a sample notice of late registration.
