7503.2900 SALE OF VEHICLE SUBJECT TO IMPOUND ORDER.

A.

For purposes of implementing Minnesota Statutes, section 171.60, any motor vehicle sold while its registration plates are subject to an impoundment order or during the time the vehicle's registration plates bear a special series number, must be sold for no less than valid consideration.

B.

The phrase "sale for valid consideration," as used in Minnesota Statutes, section 171.60, subdivision 14, means the average value of similar vehicles established by standards and guides used by the commissioner, whether paid in money or otherwise.
