7049.0162 RECORD KEEPING.

Subpart 1.

Requirements for monitoring activities.

Anyone required by this chapter to perform any record keeping or monitoring activities shall maintain records of all information required by this chapter, including documentation associated with best management practices. The records shall include for all samples:

A.

the date, exact place, method, and time of sampling and the names of the person or persons taking the samples;

B.

the dates analyses were performed;

C.

who performed the analyses;

D.

the analytical techniques or methods used; and

E.

the results of the analyses.

Subp. 2.

Retention of records.

Anyone subject to monitoring or reporting requirements under this chapter, including documentation associated with best management practices, shall retain for a minimum of three years:

A.

records of monitoring activities and results, whether or not the monitoring activities are required by this subpart; and

B.

reports created, submitted, or required to be submitted under this chapter.

The period of retention shall be extended during the course of any unresolved enforcement action regarding an industrial user or a POTW or when requested by the agency.
