The commissioner may call a conference to obtain information needed to investigate an allegation in a charge. At the conference, the parties may attempt to resolve the proceedings before a determination is made.
The commissioner may require the attendance of a person at the conference by subpoena. The commissioner may restrict the attendance of others. Both the commissioner and a party may make an audio tape recording of the conference. On request of a party, while a charge is pending, the commissioner shall duplicate the audio recording. The commissioner shall charge a fee to cover the cost of duplication.
