A social worker shall take any appropriate and reasonable steps to ensure continued competence in the practice of social work.
A social worker shall limit practice to the permissible scope of practice for the social worker's license and competence.
A social worker shall obtain supervision or engage in consultation when appropriate or necessary.
A social worker shall make a referral to other professionals when the services required are beyond the social worker's competence.
A social worker shall not delegate a responsibility or assign a task to another individual when the social worker knows or reasonably should know that the other individual is not licensed or competent to assume the responsibility or to perform the task.
