7855.0660 POLLUTION CONTROL AND SAFEGUARDS EQUIPMENT.

The applicant shall provide data regarding pollution control and safeguards equipment, including:

A.

the provisions that would be made for management of radioactive materials;

B.

a description of contingency plans to reduce the effects of an accidental release of radioactive materials;

C.

the methods that would be used to recycle or dispose of solid or liquid wastes;

D.

the types of emission control devices and dust control measures that would be used;

E.

the types of water pollution control equipment and runoff control measures that would be used;

F.

the measures that would be taken to prevent spills or leaks of pollutants, or to minimize the effects of spills or leaks on the environment;

G.

the methods that would be used to reduce the effects of heat rejected by the facility;

H.

any other equipment or measures, including noise control or erosion control, that would be used to reduce the effects of the facility on the environment; and

I.

the types of environmental monitoring, if any, that are planned for the facility and a description of any relevant environmental monitoring data already collected.
