7820.1000 PERMISSIBLE SERVICE DISCONNECTION WITH NOTICE.

With notice a utility may disconnect service to any customer for any reason stated below. Notice must comply with the requirements of part 7820.2400:

A.

for failure of the customer to pay a bill for utility service, but only when the amount of the customer's outstanding bill equals or exceeds the amount of the customer's deposit;

B.

for failure of the customer to meet the utility's deposit and credit requirements;

C.

for failure of the customer to make proper application for service;

D.

for customer's violation of any of the utility's rules on file with the commission;

E.

for failure of the customer to provide the utility reasonable access to its equipment and property;

F.

for customer's breach of the contract for service between the utility and the customer;

G.

for failure of the customer to furnish such service, equipment, and/or rights-of-way necessary to serve the customer as shall have been specified by the utility as a condition of obtaining service;

H.

when determined by the commission as prescribed by relevant state or other applicable standards or after individual hearing upon application of any person that customer is willfully wasting service through improper equipment; or

I.

when necessary for the utility to comply with any order or request of any governmental authority having jurisdiction.
